Travel Questions

1. What documents are required when traveling to the Philippines?

As a general rule, you will need a passport with at least six months valid until the expiry date as well as proof of stay and return transit. If you intend to stay in the Philippines for a period longer than 30 days, you’re required to obtain a tourist visa. Camaya-an Paradise Beach Resort is on the southwestern coast of Negros Oriental, which is a province inside of Central Visayas, Philippines. See the exact location on the map. 4. Is there a language barrier in the Philippines or at your resort?

The language difference is rarely an issue and will not affect your vacation in the Philippines or at our resort. All our employees speak fluent English.

5. Is it safe to travel with children in the Philippines?

Absolutely! A lot of emphases is placed on the family unit in the Philippines, especially kids.

Locals generally adore children and parents alike. Kids are a great way to break the ice when meeting people. Even without a common language, travelers' children and local children usually get along famously.

6. Will my mobile phone work in the Philippines?

General Questions

1. Is Camaya-an Paradise Beach Resort safe? What about valuables?

We like to think so. Our resort is monitored 24/7 with surveillance cameras.

The guest is responsible for the safekeeping of any money, jewelry, and other valuable objects. Camaya-an Paradise Beach Resort and/or the management accept no liability and shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any valuables.

2. Is the resort safe for children?

Yes, our resort is completely safe for children however children's conduct and safety lies within the parents or guardians.

  • The parents or guardians should explain and guide the minor to follow our Resort rules.
  • Children under 8 years old should be supervised by the parents or guardians when they are using our swimming pool.
  • Children swimming with inflated teaching aid need strict supervision by the parents or guardians.
  • Children should not be left alone overnight in the room.
3. Which days are you open, and what time are your check-in and check-out?

Our opening hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Sunday including public Holidays.

  • 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM ( only for night swimming ) from Monday to Sunday including Public Holidays.
  • Check-in 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Check-out 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Check-in Age over 18 years old. An ID should be presented at the check-in front desk.
4. Can I bring my food and drinks at the resort?

Yes, you are allowed to bring food and drinks with you if you wish so. Food deliveries and take-out from other restaurants are also allowed. Please note that we charge a corkage fee of 20 Php per bottle if it's hard liquor, also please be advised that cooking inside the room is not allowed, if you wish to prepare your meal please use our outside kitchen. Alternatively, you can always order food and drinks from our resort.

5. Can I use the swimming pool?

Absolutely! Whether you stay overnight or only a day visit you can always use our swimming pool. Please note that if you wish to use our swimming pool over a day visit, you need to pay the entrance fee. If you have a reservation then you can use our swimming pool for free.

6. Do you have a private beach?

Yes, we have a private beach just a few steps from our resort and is free of charge. We also have day use cottages and umbrellas with chairs by the beach so you can enjoy time with family and friends. See more about day use cottages prices here.

7. Is the resort pet-friendly?

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in our resort.

8. What can I do or visit around your resort?

Negros Oriental has it all. Natural waterfalls, volcanos, forests, caves, rural countryside, bustling cities, mountainous regions, parks, local and internationally inspired cuisines, and of course, the sea. The region is also rich in history, fueling museums and historic sites throughout, and is bustling with animal life both aquatic and land-based.

Services & Fees

1. Do you charge an entrance fee?

Yes, we have entrance fee, we charge 75 Php for adults, 35 Php for children under 18 years old and 60 Php for senior citizens. The entrance fee is included only for overnight stay. Children under 3 years old don't pay an entrance fee.

Night swimming fees from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Monday to Sunday including Public Holidays.

2. What type of dining options are at Camaya-an Paradise Beach Resort?

You can explore our cuisine with fresh ingredients purchased at the local market. We serve all types of meals from breakfast and dinner to Asian and Western cuisine. You can choose from our menu or you can use our outside kitchen to prepare your own food, in Camaya-an you are allowed to bring and prepare your food ( Outside kitchen fee is 100 Php ). 3. Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, WIFI is available inside the resort, and is free if you have a reservation at our resort.

4. Do you provide car parking?

Yes, we provide a monitored 24/7 parking place and is free of charge.

5. Can I use the swimming pool?

Absolutely! Whether you stay overnight or only a day visit you can always use our swimming pool. Please note that if you wish to use our swimming pool over a day visit, you need to pay the entrance fee. If you have a reservation then you can use our swimming pool for free.

Yes, we offer airport shuttle from all airports in Negros Oriental. Please let us know upon booking if you wish to use our transport services. If you wish to use our transportation for other purposes like pick up services or trips, please contact us 24 hours ahead.

8. Do you offer event services?

Yes, absolutely! Aside from being a place to relax and enjoy one’s surroundings, Camaya-an also provides other services that take advantage of the well-kept grounds and beautiful surroundings. Services such as catering and hosting events can be taken advantage of through Camaya-an Resort. Weddings, private parties, family reunions, or any other event, can be scheduled in and hosted at our resort. You can see more details and prices here.

Rooms & Cottages

1. Can we exceed the numbers of persons in the room?

Exceeding the number of persons in our room is NOT allowed.

Please NOTE!! We allow max. 5 guests (including children) in our Family Rooms and Family Bungalow, and max 2 guests in our standard rooms. For more details about the rooms please click here.

We do not charge children under 3 years old for our rooms.

2. Can I cook inside the room?

Cooking inside the room is not allowed. You can use our outside kitchen if you wish to prepare warm meals ( Outside kitchen fee is 100 Php ). We also allow food deliveries and take-out from other restaurants.

3. Can I smoke inside the room?

Smoking inside the room is not allowed. !! Please NOTE!!. We have smoking areas inside the resort.

4. Are pets allowed in the room?

We do not allow pets in our resort nor our rooms.

5. How can I book a day use cottage?

If you wish to reserve a day-use cottage please contact us. Day use cottages cannot be booked online or through the booking engine.

6. Do you have day-use cottages good for events like birthday parties and weddings?

Absolutely! We have an event cottage good for 100 persons perfect for events and smaller cottages 10 to 20 persons perfect for a day out with your family and friends.

Booking & Payment

1. How do I make a booking?

You can make a booking in a few simple steps. Please click on the book now button anywhere you see it on the website. You will be redirected to booking.com to complete your reservation. Booking.com securely manages the checkout and payment process, so you’re in safe hands.

Please check what booking conditions may apply when selecting your room. If you have any special requests upon booking, please write them in the message box available when you are making your reservation. A confirmation email will be sent to you - check your spam folder if you don’t see it. Keep this email as a reference as it has all the information you need.

2. I didn't receive a confirmation email for my booking.

Once you have confirmed your booking. A confirmation email will be sent to the address you provided. The email might go to your junk/spam folder, so please check there. If you don't have the confirmation number of your booking you can contact Booking.com and they will re-send it to you.

3. Can I make changes to my booking?

Yes! You can make changes to your booking from your confirmation email, mostly depends on the booking condition applied upon reservation.

4. I will be arriving outside check-in hours. Can I still check-in?

It shouldn't be a problem however, we do recommend to send us a message upon reservation about this matter

5. Who is going to charge my credit card, and when?

Payment is handled by booking.com, this will be clearly stated in your booking confirmation. You'll be charged a prepayment of the total price at any time, this is done to verify your credit card, where a temporary hold is placed on an amount until after check-out.

Cancelation & Refund

1. Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel or change your reservation. Please check the email confirmation you received upon booking to see your booking condition and cancelation policy, you will find details there on how to cancel or change your reservation.

2. If I need to cancel my booking, will I pay a fee?

If you have a free cancellation booking, you won't pay a cancellation fee. If your booking is no longer free to cancel or is non-refundable, you may incur a cancellation fee.

Please check the email confirmation you received upon booking to see your booking condition and cancelation policy.

3. How do I know if my booking was cancelled?

After you cancel a booking, you should receive an email confirming the cancellation. Check your inbox and spam/junk mail folders. If you don’t receive an email within 24 hours, please contact us by email or by phone.
